This law staters that the utility of large networks can scale exponentially with the size of the network. This is similar to Metcalfe's law but does not state that the value is square of the number of connected nodes. It also is calculated based on the number of people connected e.g., a Social Network. Reed determined that the number of sub-groups in a social network is (2^N - N - 1) where N is the number of users of the network.
